A tropical rainstorm kept the morning cool, and kept the humidity down, which was good as it allowed us to sleep for a lot longer than we normally would. On the bad side it also meant that we were trapped indoors for a while, and I'm not sure how Colin and Allison would have got on, as last night they said they had a golf game planned for 12 midday, when it was still raining. For those of you who haven't experienced a tropical rainstorm, the drops are large and the rain often lasts for hours at a time. Saturating all the ground it becomes a breeding haven for mosquitos and other nasties who, with the help of the already dirty ground, spread diaseases around the area.
Around 2PM when the rain had mostly stopped, we decided to go to The Curve, a large shopping complex located near Ikea not too far from the Foo's home. I was more kEen to go to Low Yat Plaza, where we had gone on our last visit for cheap software in KL. But I was outvoted, so it was off to The Curve we went.
Arriving there we spent hours wandering through shops, and managed to get out at around 6PM, as we had a dinner aranged with Uncle Keith and Aunty Jo at TGIF's (Thank God It's Friday's) at around 7.30PM. We came home for a quick snooze and to get ourselves organized for the night.
The food at TGIF's was really nice, and we all had a good time reminiscing about the wedding recption and times gone by; at the end of the evening Uncle Keith invited us back to their place, so we went for a beer and to chat further.
Tomorrow we fly out to Langkawi, I believe Leonard is heading back to Singapore and Lawrence and Babe may be taking one of the Uncle's up to Gnting Highlands for a gambling expedition, so we'll all be going our seperate ways.
